Support Our Work
Help more children get the support they need.
Children and families are already finding Bristol Creative Therapy Centre, and more are waiting for help.
We know creative therapy can make a profound difference. But keeping our sessions affordable means the fees families pay don't cover the full cost of providing them.
With your support, we can reach more children and give them the chance to heal, grow and thrive.

What your support makes possible
Funding means more qualified therapists, more affordable therapy sessions and more children getting support when they need it.
Around £20.000 can enable a qualified therapist to support seven children every week for approximately 19 months.
And we already know what funding can achieve.
For example, funding from the National Lottery Community Fund enabled 352 therapy sessions, supporting more than 30 families.
"BCTC has helped my daughter believe in herself again. She is less anxious, more confident, and much more comfortable being herself".
The difference your support can make
For one child, severe anxiety meant she could no longer attend school and sometimes couldn't even leave her bed. Her weekly creative therapy session became the one thing she could leave home to attend. By the end of therapy she was settling into special school provision, her mum had returned to work and the family were able to go out together again.
For another, early creative therapy provided a safe place to explore intense anger and difficult feelings, helping them begin to recognise and manage their emotions.
For another child who had experienced trauma, creative therapy provided a way to explore difficult experiences without relying on words alone, gradually rebuilding trust, confidence and a sense of safety.
Different children. Different experiences. Different ways of expressing what they're carrying. But the same underlying possibility: given the right space and creative, child led support, children can heal and grow.

Fundraise for us
Sometimes a simple idea can make a big difference.
When BCTC was just getting started, a friend walked 100 miles and raised enough to help cover our first three months' rent.
